Hi, I’m Devin!
I’m an avid reader, professional storyteller, former marathon runner, and a Black Belt in Taekwondo.
I also like to tell people that Aaron Paul once told me to follow my dream of becoming a professional bedazzler because I think it makes me sound cool. It’s also a true story.
But my passion is in my family. I’m a mom of three beautiful and very loud kids (ages 7, 4, and almost 2). My oldest has ADHD and a significant speech delay, and I grew up learning to cope with the intense symptoms of Tourette’s Syndrome; think tics, yelling, and constant movement. Those experiences taught me early on how to walk into new spaces without shame or judgment.
I truly feel like these neurodiverse experiences, both in my history and my present, are what made me the kind of person that falls a little bit in love with everyone I meet. When you show up as your full and unfiltered self, it’s impossible not to see the beauty in that.
That’s why I want to photograph you exactly as you are, especially the parts that don’t fit into neat boxes. So if your kid needs to run laps between photos, stim freely, or say exactly what’s on their mind? Great! If you’re a family that loves big, feels big, and maybe cries mid-session? That’s cool too. You’re my kind of people. Your chaos is my chaos and I welcome it with open arms.
Before I became a photographer, I was a professional storyteller. I created narratives for nonprofits like United Way and big brands like Pokémon, AT&T, and Walmart. That background shaped the way I see the world. Not just what’s happening in front of me, but what it means. I bring that proverbial lens to every session, whether we're chasing golden hour or dancing in your living room. Your story matters and it deserves to be told with honesty and heart.
Wild Hearts Welcome Here
I’m nostalgic for right now, even as I’m living it. When you work with me, I’ll chase the kind of photos that feel like nostalgia in action. The ones that stop time just long enough for you to hold onto it. My hope is that one day, your kids will be showing these prints to their own kids and saying, “This. This is what our family felt like.”
That’s why I focus on connection over perfection. I don’t need everyone smiling at the camera. I want the way your toddler grabs your finger when they’re feeling shy, or the way your partner looks at you when you’re not looking. I work with gentle prompts instead of stiff poses, so your session feels more like play than performance. We’ll laugh, explore, move, and make space for whatever unfolds naturally.
I pay attention to the joyful moments and the tiny details. The sweaty curl stuck to your son's cheek after the playground, the gap-toothed grin that won’t last much longer, the way your kid’s shoes are always on the wrong feet. That’s the good stuff. That’s the magic you’ll want to remember.
If this sounds like you’re kind of vibe, I’d love to chat. Let’s email, grab coffee, maybe become friends (kidding! maybe).
